Turkish Baritone Önay Köse has transfomed his busy career as bass to one of the most sought after baritones in his repertoire.
After his recent success in Verdi Opera, Luisa Miller as Miller, his schedule as baritone has been rapidly filling with leading baritone roles.
Future engagements includes Rigoletto Verdi's Rigoletto, Zurga in Les pêcheurs de perles.
This season’s engagements include a role debut as Miller in Luisa Miller in a new production with Theater Osnabrück and returns to Dijon as Bluebeard in Bluebeard’s Castle and to Toulon as Oroveso in Norma.
The opera houses that he sang leading roles includes; Canadian Opera Company, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Oper Frankfurt, Oper Köln, Komische Oper Berlin, Opéra de Dijon, Opéra National du Rhin, Theatre Principal Palma Mallorca, Opéra de Toulon, Opéra National de Lorraine- Nancy, Tulsa Opera, Teatro Municipal in Santiago and Grand-Théâtre de Luxembourg.
He has also performed in concert halls like Carnegie Hall and Frankfurt Alte Oper and perfomed with orchestras like Los Angeles Philharmonics.
He has recorded with Deutsche Grammophon.
